Noah Fights Seal Killers!

"The best place to find a helping hand is at the end of your own arm". -Swedish proverb

Since I've started earnin' my own pocket money, I ain't like a frog who just sits on the log. I've done my fair share of charity. There's no need to list them because there's no need to brag about it. Sometimes giving is either planned or spontaneous, and at times motivated by gratitude or grief. Some may say that it's due to the spirit of givin' back and helpin' the community while others may say, 'bless and be blessed'.

Whichever the case, my stand is on this : "Charity begins with the heart". I reckon most people give to charities or those Non-Profits because it helps fund someone they love or something they believe in, right?

Well recently, I stumbled upon the usual "asking letters" from a couple of charities that tells of their needs for donation to continue. It's really old fashioned! These charities really need to find ways to involve society more intelligently and at the same time, link the value of the donation to the consumer's day-to-day life. I mean, it may be difficult to get people hundreds of miles away to take notice of the cause, but it ain't impossible!

NOAH, the German-based animal protection foundation created a fun, interactive billboard just to collect loose change and spread awareness of its fight against the slaughter of seals. The interactive part is that it got people hurlin' coins at the billboard with the target of makin' the seal hunter disappear under the money collected. The strong magnet behind the billboard ensures that it happens as long as people threw coins at it. Watch the video below:

Such a cool way to get donation, right? It's very eye-catching and it would probably make you wanna be the seal's savior, too! How could you resist somethin' like that?

Cuteness aside, the modular carnival game feel def'nately gave the fun side and at the same time, maintained the seriousness of the subject matter. I say it's a win-win for both giver and receiver! Giver is aware about the cause and gets the satisfaction of contributin' to it while the receiver gets the fund to continue the cause.

A true novelty and a great meaningful way to empty the purse.
