Christmas season lets me escape to my childhood days when life was more carefree and innocent. I was positive big ol' jolly Santa Claus exist until I realised mom and dad were the ones puttin' presents under the tree!
Talkin' about Christmas tree, every ornaments on our tree has its place and a story to tell. My favourite ornament is a wedding present given by my childhood friend, Edward Boey & Lai Mun. I would hunt for the perfect spot on the tree for mini me and hubby to hang out, it makes such a sentimental statement!
The power of stories are real in our lives, it gives life a meaning. As a creative marketer, you need to understand that selling product with a story is hugely effective. Take example of these Christmas ads for 2015 by Sainsbury, John Lewis and Coca-Cola. I reckon it will certainly take the Scrooge and Grinch out of you!
But the tip of my hat goes to Edeka, Germany's largest grocery chain that created an emotional roller coaster with their latest Christmas ad. It sure hits the nail on the head!
As you noticed, Christmas is a season of giving and everyone could do with a little bit of kindness and compassion from time to time. Bravo to these brands who embraced the power of story telling. People are still sharing these videos and that's the whole point, to get their brand names across the world!
